Miley Cyrus has always been a prolific Twitter contributor, and her microblogging account was one of the most popular on the site with over 1.1 million followers, but recently it seems Miley has cancelled her account and quit the world of Twitter.

Reports suggest Miley decided to end her popular slot on Twitter because her boyfriend, 19 year old Australian actor Liam Hensworth was not a big fan of the site and didn’t want Miley to continue her online Twitter activities, but other close sources also suggest that Miley simply wanted to take a step back from the personal nature of microblogging and spend more time with her family and friends and less time on the computer.

Official statements have not yet been released regarding the sudden withdrawal of her popular Twitter site, but parents of young girls are justifiable concerned by claims that Miley has only done so because her boyfriend told her too, as this raises worrying issues about how young teenagers perceive the dynamics of budding relationships.

Miley Cyrus has millions of young fans all around the world, both girls and boys, and the idea that she should stop her popular Twitter account, which has a massive following, just to please her boyfriend is bound to have an affect on these impressionable fans, and may set them wondering just how far they have to go to keep their boyfriends or girlfriends happy.
